  1. I agree with all the comments and I have want to add. After a few months mine would not heat up anymore. It turned out to be—-one of the pins was depressed and not making contact with the mug. They sent me a complete new mug and plate at no charge. Very impressed but I guess they can afford that because of the initial expensive cost. My second mug did the exact same thing. Maybe the weight of the mug has something to do with it. I decided to go to Walmart and try out there $40 model and two months into it… Working just fine.

  3. I love my Ember mug. The battery life doesn’t bother me and love if I’m drinking lots of coffee and start drinking it slower and still stays hot. Only thing I don’t like is if I’m drinking a latte the foam on top gets kind of a thin layer film or something. But have no issues with my black coffee.

  4. What is the inside coating? I don’t want stainless… only ceramic is safe

  5. I love it. It's even more crazy expensive in Canada. But, like others I'm a slow sipper. I like to drink my big mug of coffee over severarl hours. Before Ember I used a hot plate but it never kept the coffee as hot as ember and, of course, I was tethered to the hot plate. Now I can walk around and take my hot coffee with me. I've only had it for a few days but so far love it. The only downside for me (other than price) is that I can't put it in the dishwasher. Bye bye hot plate.

  11. The mug exists as a simple more-money-than-sense test. If you buy this piece of shit you failed the test.

  12. You can get an Ion knockoff of this at Walmart for $40 or so. It only has three selectable temperatures but it works well enough. Ive had no issues with mine.

  13. That $10 Mr. Coffee mug warmer coaster and a good mug would serve the same purpose a lot lot cheaper….

  15. The biggest problem with the mug is you have to hand wash it, and the ceramic coating scratches very easily. Kind of pathetic for a "premium" product. It's much more noticeable on the white mug. I even had a small piece of ceramic chip off of the handle for no apparent reason.

  17. Very good infomation filled review. Thank you.

I have a Stanley trigger action travel mug. It keeps a 20oz cup of coffee hot until you are finished whether that takes 10 minutes or 2 hours. Also it is spill proof. $20 at walmart. Anyone that buys this mug proves PT Barnum's point.

  25. If you buy a travel mug ut keeps my drinks hot for 2hrs before it starts to cool down.. cost me 5 euros… that mug seems like the biggest waste of money.. sometimes liquid drips down the side and you can't get the coaster wet… hope you get no unnoticed dripping.. it honestly just seems like way more effort in keeping your coffee hot.. seriously just microwave or use a travel mug which is honestly just great to use

  26. This is an example of a gimmick that tries to fix a problem that's already been solved, ie just just buy a flask! 🤣 A flask doesn't require any charging time, keeps your drinks warm for hours on end and you can even travel with it!!

  27. Really worth it, often I go from call to call or just can’t leave my desk to warm up a coffee or make a new coffee. I often warm it up at least once but if I could, I would do it more often, I end up drinking it cold just so I can finish it.

Having it warm all morning would be very convenient.

  29. It's not designed to heat your beverage up from cold or room temperature, it's designed to keep already hot liquid, hot.

  31. I am crazy about my EM! Everyday I enjoy hot coffee no matter how I get distracted. Bought a 14 Oz EM2 in gray for $50. What a steal. Actually had the 10 Oz first and was just a tad too small. Wondering if you still use yours?

  32. Very happy with my Ember purchase! I sit outside on the deck even on chillier mornings, so it’s nice to sip a hot drink in a cup instead of a thermos or travel mug. I do enough of that when I’m traveling or camping. Plus Im glad they came out with one in rose gold 🥰 I’ll be ordering a couple more as gifts. I do wish the max temp were 155, but 145 is still hot enough.

  34. Main screen, orange color, where you can read set temp for your beverage, at the bottom of the screen there’s a ^ (arrow) to touch on, not swipe up ( close app) you get a new sub menu with preset temp for beverages, add new tile for beverage, battery life, etc…..

  35. I love the mug because I can set the temp at the exact temp I want and plus I drink my coffee and tea very slow so I love that an hour or so later it is still at the same temp I want it to be at. It is perfect for working at the office or WFH
