  5. This helped me learn some new ones, thanks! One thing I would add is that I was always taught as a barista that you’re not supposed to leave the shot to sit past about 20 seconds. The shot dies and it becomes bitter tasting. I can usually tell when this happens because you can taste the difference, even mixed with milk/cream.

  6. How to prevent sugar from spilling out of the teaspoon onto kitchen counter during its transit to your coffee cup? Hold coffee cup by its handle to half body hover over half of sugar bowl rim and slowly and steadily scoop sugar into the cup to prevent sugar from spilling onto kitchen counter to avoid familia relationships discord. If you drink drinks with sugar two times a day and there's 1 to 5 people in your household and 3.78 people drink drinks with sugar, (Though people in the household tend to decrease after a few decades due to natural or unnatural deaths/other personal reasons), that is a lot of clean up touchpoints over you and your future generations lifespan. Implementing the above solution will save tremendous amounts of time, energy and eliminate opportunity costs over Earth's lifespan.

  7. After using teaspoon to scoop sugar, gently wiggle the teaspoon of sugar left and right to shake off excess sugar, then steadily and slowly move the teaspoon of sugar to your coffee cup that is next to the sugar bowl with a 5 mm gap between the sugar bowl and your cup. This prevents the sugar from falling out of the teaspoon onto the kitchen counter which attract pests and waste time/energy to clean up. The mess created sow relationship discard between members of the household. Alternatively, you can use the stainless steel kitchen measuring scoop with the rounded base which prevents the sugar from piling up like a tower which is unsteady and at risk of toppling. Business opportunity to sell rounded measuring teaspoon for 1 teaspoon sugar serve?

  8. Laughs at their description for flat white knowing full well that it is, in practice (here in Australia where it comes from at least), not at all different from a cafe latte.

  13. Really great video and the hosts have a super great energy and knowledge base.
Only critique is at 28:05. In greece and cyprus, we wouldn't consider that frappé since it is instant coffee, sugar and a tiny drop of water whisked together to create a meringue like foam where water, ice and milk (milk is optional) is added afterward.

  34. 28:05 That's not the correct way to make frappe. You make a frappe by putting in a cup a small bit of water, three table spoons of ground coffee beans. You beat them together, until a kind of cream forms at the top. Then you add three to four ice cubes. You finish it by feeling the cup with water.

  36. For Turkish coffee the traditional way I learned it is very similar to what the ladies are describing but you should be stirring your coffee until the spoon comes out relatively clean. Not sure if that extracts unwanted flavours but it's how I learned to make it in the Arab world.

  39. Most important part of Turkish coffee is foam. If its without foam you will get ridiculed cuz of you coffee making skills lol. You can make it in any small saucepan no special equipment needed. Get fine ground coffee like for an espresso you can go even finer and thats it. İt's very delicious with chocolate or Turkish delight on side.

  42. In Turkey, after drinking Turkish Coffee, they put the saucer on top of the cup, then you flip it upside down towards yourself. After the bottom of the cup cools down, the cup is removed and the grinds are examined so your fortune can be told! After the cup is read, the saucer is tilted over the cup to pour off the excess and is then read as well. In my experience there isn't any specific symbolism, just go with what you see/ feel. Rorschach style. Are there roads? Maybe you're going on a journey. Are there two people? Maybe they're talking about you. Are there lots of hearts everywhere? Maybe there is some love in your future. Fortune telling was something that my family members loved doing when I was a kid. Coffee, zodiac signs, cards, all just for fun to pass the time.
