After wanting to design a Rocket Stove for myself, I got the opportunity to make one for the Millerwelds WIYW (What’s in Your Weekend) Series! The design might look a bit complex at first, but once you see how it goes together, I think you’ll agree it is fairly straight forward…
This is a great exercise for people who are learning to weld or who are looking for a fun weekend project! For other projects, checkout https://www.millerwelds.com/industries/welding-projects
The premise behind a rocket stove is that the chimney provides a draft that brings in unobstructed fresh air directly to the combustion chamber. Although this project is a little bit tongue-in-cheek as the shop coffee maker, the final stove actually worked really well!
Thank you to Miller Electric and Millerwelds.com for providing me with the PPE I used in this video. It is very important to be safe while welding and to wear the appropriate safety gear. (Please check out the links below as it will show your support!)
